Did KTM rush the 1290 to market?
Is the limited release a real world test to reduce lengthy R&D times and cost?
Are the first release owners being used to weed out major faults that would have cost KTM dearly in warranty claims had they flooded the market?

Are KTM involved with the missing flight MH370?

Actually that would make sense. .. Microsoft has always released a 75% complete package and let the public find the rest of the errors.

It keeps the value of the bikes high and sorts or niggling issues before it costs too much... particularly for the American market which expects perfection. .. As we all should.

You can buy a reliable and complete car the the price of a 1290. When all they are selling is a engine and some wheels, it shouldn't be that hard to get it right.

Me personally. .. I'm waiting for the 08 model equivalent.. Everything is sorted, the styling improved slightly and the parts available for them is plenty.

1: No they didnt rush it , they took fookin ages and it was late as everyone was working on the 1190 ADV
2:People who buy the first gen bikes are the real world tests ( guinea pigs)
3: Of course all manufacturers do it , no exceptions ( even the fookin Japanese before some fooker spouts up " I did a gazillion miles on my GS1000 and didnt even change the oil " bollocks )
4: Nigel Farage hijacked it , its being resprayed as we speak.
