Received my carbon seat unit from Adam yesterday. Nice one Adam! It didn't get lost in the post or get stolen along the way.

Really, really pleased with it. Great quality - as good as I've seen. Well done mate, worth every cent. Yet to see if all the seat and fixings attach well but pretty sure they will. Not sure how Adam will feel about this but I already started the process of matting down the finish to match everything else on the bike. Myself I like the matt look better than the really high gloss - which Adam's part certainly was.

Here it is in it's virgin gloss state.

Yo Bic,
Is that seat part sitting on an old coal chute door?

No Mate,

It's a large galvanised steel box that I reclaimed from a derelict house's outbuildings. I think it's some sort of storage container? I'm currently using it as a makeshift shotblast cabinet. (the inside is very clean now!

I collect stuff like this. Love old stuff that has a history. Hate new stuff.

Right with ya on old stuff. It caught my eye as cool stuff. Love old black smith stuff. Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood in Oregon brought old world craftsman over to build it in the 1920s Very cool building. Jack Nicklos did a horror movie there, the Shining or some sort. Did not see it, not my cup of tea.

Here's Adams seat base - matted down with wet and dry and steel wool - with the leather seat attached.

I like it!

That looks great.

I can't picture what that replaces on the std bike though!
