Not a day goes by that I don't miss this job. Only lasted a few years, and there was not a single day that I didn't look forward to going to "work" (except when there was a snow forecast.) Anyone else ever work or currently working as a motorcycle courier? The scene has pretty much died here in Seattle but I wonder if the UK still uses dispatch riders. Stories? Pics?

Here is a co-worker from back in the day:

I did it on and off for a few years mostly in London.

Many good stories to tell including being knocked off by a mad Iranian woman and having my head run over by a bus (which explains a lot I think)

All too long winded for here but if I'm ever out your way we could compare notes over a beer.

After your last post I actuall considered starting athread like this myself - spooky

Reports of possible snow later this week...

These pics are of a buddy's messenger bike, his "winter bike". He studded those tyres himself and prepped the bike with heated grips and such. That "fairing" is some ancient computer monitor housing, and the rack is welded up out of old bicycle parts. I believe the bike started out as a 1988 Honda Hurricane.

Saw a bilp on the tube last night about Amozon which is brain storming small package delivery with drone aircraft.
They showed an example on film. Really cuts down on the petro bill. Half hour deliveries.
