I'm wondering if the KTM gel seat is worth it, the price is good?
Anyfeedback??

Its not a KTM but I put a gel seat on my old FZ1 gen2 and it made a big improved over the stock seat even though it was harder.

Not a huge difference but definitely something that is noticeably more comfortable after say an hour or so in the saddle.

Can anyone compare comfort between Corbin and the gel seat?
I am not a fan of the Corbin stitching, but would deal with it if it were a big improvement in comfort.
The weight of it isn't an issue for me, as I could stand to lose some myself.

Corbin first, by far all day comfort. If three hundred mile days are all you'll rack up, stick to the KTM comfort seat.
The Corbin is major expensive, If they are both priced the same, buy the Corbin, resell it and pay chump change for the Factory Fashion.

Do not buy a Corbin....Go with the gel seat...Noticeably different than Stock and Comfy...

I rode a gel seat SD once, didn't like it at all on the normal SD so I prefer the stock seat.
On the SDR however it's a different story, that gel seat is great.

I felt it took away the sporty feeling of the bike. As if it was a bit wider and more focussed on people that don't move around on the bike a lot.

The other option is to get a Gel Arse - well sort of.
I have a decent quality pair of cycling shorts I wear under leathers when doing long journeys on the SD. Simple fix really without altering feel of the bike when hooning locally.

Good feedback, thank you!
I will hold onto the stock seat for a while so I have the option of switching back and forth.

Have the gel seat as delivered new from the dealer. I also bought a used regular seat from a breaker in LA, to send to Bill Mayer Cycle in Anderson Ca. for use as base for a custom seat to be built in one month. Bought one before for my VFR, which made it super comfortable. Have a Sargent seat for my RC51, satisfied with comfort. Consider a "Bead Rider" to get used to not having your ass heat up. Mayers brothers have three motorcycle seat shops in California: Russell Day Long seats for the Wing crowd, and the other Mayer brother is in Ventura, Ca. All are top rated manufacturers and satisfaction is guaranteed.
