I heard on the news today the Jfk's inauguration address was fifty years ago today. They played the Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. As policies that appear to be liberal or conservative in nature go, I would put this under conservative. I was but a wee tart when this speach was made, but it has been a standing diatribe to the people that would not follow this appeal. If you could boil it down to " Get off your fat ass and make something for yourself so that others do not bear your burden", and allong with such You could add that, " Doing" for your country meant giving the resources that you were so able to procure in the land of milk and honey, that others not so blessed with the ability, would-could use. then You were serving your nation in the honour that would be fitting such a command. I feel that those few words from that address. Have been an inspiration, and portray The Nation in the light that few could find problems with.
