Mine stays in the lounge room permanently. I have a photo somewhere that I will dig up.

Here is a crappy pic of the ZX6R I had as a loan bike while mine was in the shop.

Rubber mat to keep her happy, large 200mmx200mm plate under the mat where the side stand goes to prevent from leaving a mark in the carpet.

Just to the left of the photo is the TV, and the couch is just to the right. Bike is always in my view when watching TV etc.

hi red zx & bic_bicknell
cool pics ,
i see that you have a abba stand , i have one but need to buy the adaptors for the sdr .
the trolley jack is under the sump? stop it tipping forward ?
second pic ,its a great rear paddock stand industrial looking .
i have worked on trials bikes in the house before now,can get them in on your own.
the road bikes are a struggle on your own , door ways ,they do not bend so easy .
going now to show her the pics ,that should cause a little stir ..ha .
going to nick her step stool to sit on while cleaning and maintaining .
patio doors are ideal for getting the bike in . suppose i could make a bracket up to put
a glass top on the bike , the ultimate breakfast bar .it would not be the sd as i want to ride it.

I put mine in the house once, and had to move it out 30 minutes later as the smell of fuel & burnt hydrocarbons was to much!

My bike stays at work, below my office. Pictured on the way down... Way up is a bit more complicated

I think this was the ducati you were on about:

Was on an episode of Grand Designs I watched (tv programme for bespoke house builds fo those not in the know)

Bit of a waste IMO would prefer it at ground level.

Looks like the best place for a Ducati is on the wall.....

Bic, you have quite the understanding missus. My wife goes berserk when I leave mail on the coffee table. She'd cut my nethers off while e I slept if I left a disabled bike in the breakfast nook.

I had this discussion with my girl several times. Not yet living together I told her I want a place for the bike and if she doesn't want it in the house we need a garage/shed

thing is though i dont think id just ride my bike in and out of the house, unless i kept it in a sun room or isolated space. you have to make sure if its a runner that you dont leave it in a area where fuel vapors can build up and there is the chance of an open flame, pilot light etc.
i drained all the fuel out of mine and its just there for display.
