I keep on wondering what it was like with a dry road. Haven't been out for ages without the tarmac being wet, cold, dirty, muddy, icy or generally horrible for so long I've forgotten what it's like.

Just spent another few hours in the garage, chilling out, with a WD40 soaked rag, cleaning all the crud from the bike's inner parts. Good therapy though, I love time with the SD.

You're forgetting four foot deep flooding and fallen trees as well...........

Are you commuting on your SD yet?

Funny weather. Here it hasn't been over 34C and it is the tropics. Not much rain neither this year, a few moderate sprinkles.
Inland they are praying for some rain as it is dry as. Seems down south they are copping it big time regarding high temperatures.
Funny, I know several people leaving town and moving south to escape the hot weather...
Personally I like a bit of heat but over 35C it is a bit too much, nothing like that yet. I had the airco on for 2 nights so far. It is pretty windy and at night it cools down nice.
Could do with some more rain, as I like to take the dirtbike out more this time of the year as it is nicer getting covered with mud than eating dust for hours.

Been a little unseasonably warm around here as well...high 70s and low 80s. Oh well, we'll just have to deal with it.

I've been riding in the wee hours of the morning, because 45 degrees is just too damn hot. At least it gets down to 30 at night.
Mind you I almost collected two deer (on two occasions. And a roo, but that's normal) within three days.
They've taken to crossing the old freeway route (devil's elbow) at night to get to the still lush, cool and watered golf course greens (Mt Osmond). Came so close to one that ran out in front of me, that I may in fact have brushed it.
I didn't even know we had feral deer in numbers like that, and so close to the city. Slowed me right down actually.

Not cold though is it? If we dont drown I suspect we will consider this one of the mildest winters in recent years.
