Bridgestone S20 tyres

Just put a pair on the SMR and of course its pissed down daily since then. What a great tyre for the rain though. Quick to warm up and not a slip at decent lean angles. To think that I once went for durability over grip in the past. The price was so right at $350 a pair installed. I did like the Rosso Corsa that came as OEM, but not the best tyre for the rain

I run them on my SuperDuke and just love them. I think they are a great all around tyre that heat up quick and offer really great grip. Just my two cents. I'd put them on again.

Good to know - will have to put a set on something, and given them a thorough thrashing - maybe the SD! I think the Corsa IIIs that came on my SD were shitty tyres in any condition. Never was much of a fan of BT-016s either.

Like Q2s and other latest-offering "hypersport" (street) tyres, these S20s by most accounts seem to make a lot of folks happy. I can say that Michelin's PowerPure and PowerOne (commercial - NOT the DOT race tyres) are shit. I've been using Power2CTs for a long while now, and still like them on the SD. But, gotta try new things!

Mods: Why is this thread in "General Banter"?

the S20's are grippy but you'll get a third of the distance , that you get from your 2CT's

I used the S20's to replace the original Pirelli corsa's and on the day I was to replace the tyres, there was a beautiful 6 inch nail in the rear. Now with only 3000 Kms on the S20's it is now the turn of the fasteners accomplice in crime, the 4 inch stainless deck screw to announce its present in the rear by putting a bloody big hole in the tyre as well as slicing 2 of the metal cords.....now there is a 2CT on the rear

That sucks, bad luck. At least you got a little use out of them. Here's hoping your tyres stay screw free from now on!
