I landed after eighteen hundred sixty eight miles of uninterrupted howling winds. And a four AM thunder shower.
This is a first time to see the other Moto classes, two and three. I am somewhat surprised at how few bikes I am seeing. Texas has a beautiful hill country and I spent the day riding by pastures of longhorns and wildflowers. Austin is a fantastic city. Ben Spies makes his home in this neck, to bad he'll be schooled by the Italatino's.
Damn if this Pyle of English bolts ain't a good little bike. The Scrambler held it's own through mile after mile of West Texas hiway haulen. Let the games begin.

MD; I'm camping at McKinney Falls campground. Google it, It's pretty sweet. Texas has a good infrastructure. Better than Ca. Col., I reported in for dribble doodie for the races.
Jehad Joe ought to be here, Tulsa is a hop, skip, and jump from here. Can you imagine the thunder pumpkin and I in drunken stupor camping?
Soarsore and ttroadhouse should be here too.
I have already met a sooner and a Hoosier.
Lady Bird was lucky to grow up here.

Parking at fifteen bucks a day at the track was the only thing that chapped my hide. I slid through on the first day. I rode in backwards, so's it looked like I was leaving. When a trip is into its homeward stage, I tend to turn it into a job, not an adventure. It was a longer ride home, at least it felt that way. I think I need three bikes. One to freeway drone the miles away, like a biggo ole Harley. One to elevate the adrinalin, that would be why I'm here on this site. One to be an all around kicker for weekend romps in the seirras. I need a FLXTZSS.
I camped at a beautiful site out side of Roswell called Bottomless Lakes. It was an Alien experiance to say the least. The nightscape was filled with meteor showers and a almost full moon. Much off the beaten path, but well worth the travel. Next up was. quirky little town on route 66 named Selligman. It had all the trappings associated with Tourist trap. Still it was a nice escape from the Interstate slab. I rode through Laughlin, leaving while every Harley Davidson was headed in for the annual River Run. What a joke that mess is. Drunken debauchery has its rightful place in the landscape we call life. All be darned if a slogan "Live to ride" can or should be posted on the trailer that is carrying the bikes makes any sense to me.
Would I do it again, no. Was I glad to make the journey, dammed strate.
It was all I could do to keep myself from flipping that number eleven off as he criused past me on the entrance to turn twelve. That bastard should give up this sport If he wants to ride in that lacsidasical fashion.
I love Scott Russell. I saw Chad Read with his his ontourage of partying misfits at a Mickie Deez. That guy is quite an Asshole. Gave me shit about being a pussy cause I was riding with a helmet in a helmet not required State.
I would have loved to crack him upside the noggin, if I thought that thier was anything there to damage, and I grew a quick set of balls, I would have.
Honey, I'm home!!!
