On my journey yesterday a crack suddenly appeared in my clocks. Don't know how it happened, it wasn't there when I set off. Not sure if it was banged or it's a stress crack. I'm going to have a go at sealing the crack with superglue but suspect that the first time it encounters hard rain it will leak and I will have to think about replacing it.
Does anyone know if the new-look clocks from the '09+ Superduke are a direct plug and play into the earlier bikes? Was it just a button styling and graphics change but with the internals and mounting identical? Or do I have to get '07 clocks?

As far as I know, there is but 1 option for the replacement. Mine had been cracked for a long time and I got caught in a rain storm on the first day of a week-long vacation riding with friends in the mountains. Good luck finding one and be ready for $$$$$$. I got the only one shown on the dealer network in the US at the time and paid almost $500 to have it next day aired to me! It was plug and play, however the dealer that had it, nor my local dealer has the software to reset the odo to the correct mileage. I knew that I was near 10k, so I just add 10k to my figure. The cover seems to maybe be a bit thicker and the buttons are definitely more water-proof. Over a year and lots of wheelies with no cracks yet!

Yes, I just looked on the KTM parts fiche and the new graphics model just replaces the old one. Here a new one is £275. There aren't any on Ebay at the moment but they do come up every so often. Anyway, I'm not bothered about a crack, only if I can't make it waterproof. It always had a bit of condensation in it anyway, from new, as many of that vintage did.

Bic don't put super glue on the clear dash as will leave a smoke like finish that looks crap.
Go to hobby shop they should have a type of super glue that dries clear that doesn't leave the smokey crap.
In Australia the the best brand is zap they make all different types of adhesives so I imagine you would have the same brand in UK.

You could use that tape on the rear hub as a fix also.

I had my bike serviced a while ago and noticed a couple of scratches in the plastic clocks face whilst riding it home. I didn't have time to turn around and go back to the dealer, but emailed them a complaint saying they weren't there before servicing. I got a reply saying to pop in when convenient and they would take a look. Well the service manager,(who I rated at the time, and has unfortunately left now) came out and brought some bottle of gear and a rag and hey presto it was good as new.But he did say if he had not have got the scratches out it would have been no problem as they could get a replacement glass. So I'm not 100% sure about this but I would get in touch with P+H, as this seems to be your nearest dealer and ask

New models work and are available here in the states for under $300, I just replaced mine. I also have my old unit with no cracks, you can have it for the cost of shipping if you want it. I'm on the road at the moment, but I posted a link a while back to the place I purchased mine from. Search "new clocks"

If you can get a set of non-working clocks with intact 'glass' and just take off the glass and remount on your old clocks.
The buttons I think are a different shape on the later models but in the same place.
