Any of you guys (or gals) overseas follow the Daytona 200. It's the seasons opener here in the States and starts today (Saturday). Woohoo!

Congrats to Josh Hayes for Pole position in American Superbike (1000cc), and Jake Zemke for Pole position in Daytona Sportbike (600cc) (premier race).
Both rode as wild cards in WSBK once upon a time, and did pretty well.

Have you seen Danny go down yet?
Just waiting for the restart and doing the PVR thing to avoid the commercials also.

I love how Speed feels nascar truck qualifying is more important to show than actual racing if said racing is motorcycles.

I've said it once , I've said it a thousand times,, SPEED CHANNEL SUCKS, their nothing but a bunch of "cud" chewin hicks that should have nothing to do with motorcycle coverage,,, fookin pick-up truck race,,, for gods sake
I can't wait to see what they will do to the moto GP season coverage,,,, and SBK,,, another season of missed races, middle of the night broadcasts and in general lousy coverage,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Well I guess that Ducati finaly won at Daytona, DiSalvo by hundredths of a second,, unless the AMA do a disqualification as they had time to replace his blown motor so he could restart,,,,, to bad ROADRACE WORLD doesn't have TV rights,,,,,,,

Just made use of Speeds "contact us" and there is a thread going on there AMA roadracing board, "What A Joke" that I signed up to fire one of in anger.
They don't give a shit about us but what the hell, worth a try, maybe if enough people did it they'd take notice.

Was the FIX IN? We want rider E, H ,or ,B to win so if that is not a possibility we throw a red and delay the race? I.E. -pro wrestling- Nascrape!-DMG- Sorry,to anyone who worked hard to make this a preimer event again. That was how it seemed.
There is always tyre problems at Daytona. Usually the rider that makes the best tyre choices wins. The rider that conservatives his tyres, Ryder that utilizes the draft.
Smart,(old), racers usually win at Daytona for a reason.
This made me sick

Mr. Daytona is a great commentator, Too bad he has to do it for a series that is owned by Nascar. It was racing that started at 10:00am and ended at 10:30 pm with a break between for all those Saturday duties. Noone has stepped up to the plate to give us better race coverage. live broadcasts are left in the lap of the Gods, there was little a station could do and there are plenty of backward ass country bumpkins that gots to get thier counterclockwise racing in. That they are pickups is even better cause you can expectorate and scratch your dog's balls while pretending to get the moonshine out to your thirsty kinfolk. Jason DiSalvo has been a fixture in the AMA for quite some tyme and good on him for having a team that put forth such intestinal fortitude. I could go the way of conspiricy theory on the outcome and will with anyone who will listen, but for now I choose to accept the outcome as legitamate. JD Beech ( or Beach) will be a force to contend with this year. I watched him as he ran in the Red Bull Rookies cup a couple years ago. He will be filling a Moto GP position in a few years, You heard it here. I say Yahhooo to motorcycle racing and will go sleepless every weekend in front of Speed Chanel, if that is what it takes to catch such sporting thrills.
Moto GP next weekend, with the kid home for spring break, I feel like a kid one week away from Christmas.

Nice to see a twin take it, and the team worked for it.

Nice to see, or should I say read, that Disalvo won. The guy has been bounced around from team to team, and series to series, it nice to see him finally break that bad luck on a non-factory bike. I bet Ducati has taken interest in his accomplishment. Not to mention the blown motor.

Way to go Jason.
