After 36 years of riding bikes I'd never ran out of fuel, until today Luckily for me a chap on a Repsol Fireblade stopped to help me. I gave him a back pack I'd been wearing and £10 for a container plus fuel. He'd been gone a while and for a moment I was thinking he wasn't coming back and I'd given him my back pack and £10. But he turned up with the container/fuel/funnel/ gloves and towels. I'd been spoilt ...... there certainly is humanity amongst bikers. And whilst he was gone, a chap in a car stopped to offer help ( who was also a biker). Lesson of the day..... When the fuel light comes on, don't push your luck.
