There was also the guy in Portland monday who shot 3 killed 2. Seemed like a perfectly normal kid to everyone. He just went nuts and no one knows why yet. I think its the "rage" virus from 28 days later. These guys and the Joker kid in Colorado are first signs of outbreak. Either that or bath salts.

I live 30 mile from where this occured, and I'm dumbfounded. Such a beautiful area, you'd never expect something like this to happen there. According to news, the shooter (heretofore referred to as shithead) was a 'mentally compromised individual", his mother was the "legal" owner of the weapons used. I can only guess that they weren't properly secured, either that or shithead had access to, or found a way to access them. His mother was one of the first to die. He also killed a neighbor. WHAT the fook compells someone to do such a horrible thing?????? I can not imagine.

I am ready. I see no reason for people to have any access, let alone such easy access to automatic weapons. Perhaps if the path to gun ownership was much more difficult and included psychological evaluation, then your argument about guns not killing people, rather people doing it may hold just a little water.

The next point is that the USA has the most advanced, most powerful army in the world. I don't feel the need, therefore, to be "protected" by farm hands in Iowa or a banker in Dallas.

But going from your point about people being the problem - in deed, there are too many people with mental health issues left without care because of either an underfunded or nonexistent social system. So yes, crazy people are out on the streets, under the radar and able to buy weapons that were designed to do one thing: kill with maximum efficiency and maximum effect.

Ultimately in the US, we have to ask ourselves whether what happened today is an acceptable price to pay for gun ownership. If not, then we need to find a solution.

Well;
Regulated militia should start rounding up all guns in earshot of disturbed citizenry.
Once this disturbed citizenry is found all help available to relieve disturbance should be enacted.
Tax the shit out of guns and related paraphenalia and use the taxes to form clinics.
Or we could stick to the same cliche' and grab another sispack.
I like the fellow who sits at home polishing his Python, pretending people matter.
People dont matter, guns do.

20 babies died today.

28 souls.

20 babies that will never experience a first love.

20 babies that will never experience the thrill of life.

20 babies that are taken from this world.

Grendel is looking to do 20 good deeds a year to celebrate the lives each lost.

Good post with back up crotchy..
Typical lame reactions from people
who don't fn care what ultimately
happens to America..like your not
even Americans..
Stand up for what your forfathers
died for...seems you've either
forgotten..don't care...or don't
carry much family lineage to know
any better..in other words..
You aren't AMERICANS..
