Just got back from a 2000 kay round trip to the the Moto GP at Phillip Island and gave the Duke a quick check over and found that the " Y " peice before the cans has a crack through it, anyone else seen this ?.
Going to get it welded , but looking for any feedback on further bracing to stop it happening again.

Not sure about the old ones, but all the new ones have bracing welded top and bottom to stop the crack issue

Titanium will weld but needs a pro to do it. I've had my headers welded up twice now.

If I was in europe, I'd be calling Akrapovic and giving them an earful about it.
It's one thing if one crashes on the exhaust (or hit something), but for it to fail (regularly?) from just thermal cycling - given what Akrapovic gets for a Ti header and cans - is simply unacceptable.

From what I have read on the forum before it seems to be a problem with
The Akrapovic titanium headers and Y pipe.
Has anyone had this happen with the stainless headers and Y pipe?

Im pretty certain Mine was caused by loose bracket ....so not Akrapovics fault.....always had akrapovic systems....never had a real complaint yet

First time was my fault. The section to the rear head wasn't quite straight and put a strain on the headers. The 2nd one however was not. Blew a hole right at the point the 2 pipes meet. Man it souned awesome going around Cadwell
