One of my designers has just made this folding push bike. I know it's not an SD but it's a clever bit of engineering. Check out the short film.

Maybe brakes should have been the drawing board as well. Love the simplicity.

Ha! The brakes thing. There seems to be a fad here in London for fixed wheel bikes. Everyone is building specials with no brake and rely on the pedals, (and no free wheeling rear axle), to stop. Seems absolutely mad to me - a case of style over function. The curriers seem to be able to stop OK but there are a lot of dicks cycling about thinking they look cool but totally out of control. Phil is one of those in control I hope. Ha ha.

That's really neat, most folding bikes are immensely fugly with noncie small wheels that put them on the z-list of wants. It looks like the proto is used regularly, so question; how well do the hinges stand up to torsional distortion?

Looks really good that.

So simple, but yet no one has tried it before.

I wonder if there is a reason, like the torque coupling coming loose whilst riding, that'll smart a bit Just thinking out loud.

Spy cam pictures (video) taken on the Isle Of Wight?

Threads a bit rough and not sure about that knurling but it's all Ok for a prototype
