Dudes, I rebuilt my forms today, seals, bushings, etc.
There is a great video here that shows how to set the fluid level.
The guy in the video grabs the spring with one hand, pulls it down, and slips in the 22mm wrench to hold the spring and attAches the cap. There was no way in hell it was that easy! It took 2 of us.
I had strapping wrapped around the spring and used my body weight to compress the spring while Dana slipped the wrench on, it went smooth after that. Did you all have to struggle or was it easy???

Hey Strat..
Some of us here have done Race Tech Suspension
kits and its usually a guy that has all the specialty tools
that makes it easier said than done on the videos..
And probably..IMHO..have one just finger tight
and already previously apart to make it seem effortless...
Kowekiller and I did ours together last year..
There's a bit more to it but its not that difficult..
I ended up customizing an old 22mm wrench to
make it a bit easier to slip between the coils...
It depends if you have the adjuster backed off and
still have access to the nut...
We got new springs and valves so there is a bit
more to it than just dissassemble and reassemble...
Have you riden it now since your rebuild.???
Did you pump oil in the cartridge and bleed out the air.???
The kit was totally worth every penny..
Cheers

well i got it all back together. new seals, bushings, headset bearings, tyres, and wheel bearings. feels like a new bike, so much more nimble.
the lower bearing race was really dented, funny how you slowly adapt to wearing parts.
weather was fantastic today so i went out for a nice 100mi shakedown ride. hopefully there wont be any more issues this season, makes finger cross...

would you happen to have a link to the race tech bits you're talking about - my bike has springs that i'm pretty sure are too heavy for my body weight that could probably benefit from softer springs --- and the valve kit too ....[/quote]

Sure..
