I finally found a company in Belgium that offers a 30mm lowering part. I know that goes against the grain typically but I could hardly touch the ground with my tip toes. I also don't attack the corners with the gusto most riders do. I have the KTM saddle bags and the large rear bags.I have a 30" inseam. I just felt uneasy especially when pushing the bike back across uneven ground. I could not find anything here on the forum with the search except a few things about the previous Super Duke. Anyway, it looks like they change the bottom of the shock to a shorter tail or maybe the top.

I found it at http://kglracing.com/shop/index.php?mai ... anguage=en

It was pricey by the time I paid shipping but I googled every corner of the web and never found anything in the states.

Another option you might want to think about is seeing if you can find a good upholstery shop nearby that could cut some foam out of the seat and get it back together. Usually a much cheaper option and it doesn't mess up the geometry of the bike.

not being at all sarcastic here.
dont know where it is written that you have to touch both feet to the ground. as long as you can get one down thats the important thing. id learn to do that before shortening the suspension and compromising the motorcycle, you may want/need that clearance someday. i cant touch both down on my 990, in fact when i come to a stop one is always on a peg. try modding the seat first if you really need to lower anything.
rather than pushing the bike backwards from the saddle, get off and push it back, much more efficient.

I'm aslo about a 30inch inside leg, (short!) and have always found the kTMs I've owned to be a bit tall. After Ducatis and other sports bikes where I could place two feet flat on the ground it was a bit of a shock to get on the SD and only be able to get one toe on the ground at once. It's caused a lot of issues over the years, mostly because of knee and ankle injuries meaning that they have collapsed/given way at a bad time when coming to a halt and the worst result being that I've dropped the bike at least on two occasions because of this.

But I just put up with it. I wouldn't lower the bike because the ground clearance is needed on track and I like the geometry anyway.

Getting back on my 1975 Kawasaki H2 just shows me how low these old bikes are! It's once again easy again to get both feet on the ground. (but the ground clearance is limited.)
