Seriously, does Bimota really believe that their chassis is better than BMW's?

Hasn't this been Bimota's M.O. From the beginning though? They take a platform that works well and Farkle it up to 11 and Triple the price of the original. Maximum Starbucks poser points

it used to work in the old days with Japonese bikes when frames where made of cheese with bouncy suspenders and powerful engines.
Not so much nowadays unless you have too much $$ and need the poser points as Blackduke pointed out.

What makes you think the frame isn't an improvement?
How much lighter is it? Usually Bimota have an advantage in terms of materials and production method used.
Wouldn't argue that Bimota represents value, but no compromise, low volume boutique models do usually have advantages other than exclusivity.
Personally I always liked the SB8/R models, and I'd love a ride on the old V-Due, any of the TESI framed bikes or one of their supercharged, Ducati engined roadsters.

The bike will most certainly be better in some aspects.....better brakes, suspension, OZ wheels and lighter to boot.
Electronics wise? Who knows. Exclusivity...most definitely.
But 50 to 100% more expensive better? Yeah, not likely.

It looks like milled frame and components, which usually means increased strength and precision at lighter weight. Apparently it's 20KG lighter, which is quite a bit. I still like the HP4 version better because it has the comfy seat.
