Well I could not resist any longer so I went out and got a new bike. But first let me say, I'M KEEPING THE MY SUPERDUKE-R TOO! I wanted an RC8R but just could not spend the cash so I went a got a 2011 Suzuki GSX-R750. This is the first sport bike I've had since I owning the original Honda Hurricane 600 back in 1987. Jumping off the Duke to a sportbike took about a week to get use too. Still takes a few miles to adjust. Both bike are great. For street riding the Duke cannot be beat, for the fast stuff up in the mountains and trackdays the Gixxer is rock solid. I wanted a 600 but the 750 was only a little more money. Anyway, here's a photo of both bikes.

Lovely - that would be my second choice too.
I'm not sure about the plastic fairing extending to the exhaust though. No doubt that will get ditched along with the original exhaust?

Good choice. I've had a ton of supersports over the years and the GSXRs have always been best to me. The comfort and power delivery is unbeatable, and the 750 is a beast.
Not sure how you can ride one after the SDR though, I feel so cramped when I hop on my wife's Fireblade... can't stand riding those bikes any more!

nice bikes... very planted but if your mountain roads are like mine... i dont know how you are faster on a gixxer than the SD.
but as soon as the roads/track open out... mate you know why you bought them

lastly, you must be doing very well for yourself... you have actual property and not a flat or apartment. Please call me ignorant if wrong but arent houses stupidly expensive over there?
