Popped into a local dealer to me as they have started selling MV's and wanted a nose around. I thought whilst I'm here I'll buy 5 litres of Muc off bike cleaner and do my bit for shopping locally. Well fuckaduck it was £30 which set me back a bit, but paid up and went on my way. A day or so later I just happened to pop into Halfords (not something I do a lot), and walked by the 5 litre Muc off. I thought I'd sneak a peak at the price.... Oh shit..... £22.
Now everyone has to make a profit and a little independent bike shop might charge a bit more which is to be expected, but over 35% more is taking the piss.

Personally I would be taking it back. Or if you have opened it, buying another one from Halfords and taking that and your bike shop receipt back to the bike shop for a refund. Go on a Saturday and ask loudly and they will soon refund you just to get you to leave.

Halfrauds are hardly a beacon of fair pricing either. Have a look at H4 headlight bulbs 12 quid in Halfords, 4 quid in Jayar, 2 quid on ebay. Halfords are like Kwik Fit they exist to rob people that dont know anything about vehicles. I use most of the motor factors and they are all cheaper than Halfrauds.
