Yes, bought one for a 2009 canam 400 outlander that was lean.
Works well, inexensive and easy to use.

Do you think that it would be any advantage to use one of these on the SD?
How much did you pay?
And how is your bike going? Did you get it sorted

I run an atv tour company and this atv was always a problem, especially starting. The unit was bought to richen the idle especially. Well, it did not, for some reason its able to add fuel everywhere else but idle. The good, the machine runs considerably better, noticeably better throttle response and i guess 5 to 10% better midrange.
I bought it through my company so I got it for $150 . Considering we get tuneecu free and its more capable I have never thought of putting it on my |SD. The good about these things is you can adjust at the side of the road and make changes quickly, mine came preloaded with a map and was pretty spot on.
Cant hurt? no?

Thanks mate I was just wondering if it might be a quick fix for other SD owners instead of Tuneecu as I think Tuneecu might seem a bit to complicated for some.

Thinking about it overnight , you do have a point.
You are able to adjust on the fly so to speak. The only issue is these usually have 3 to 5 ranges so one adjustment IE, on the midrange will richen or lean out a 2-3000rpm range. Its more of a blanket effect, but unless you know how to change a map in tuneecu or find a dyno shop that knows it this could be a good idea.
They are plug and play and the only other wire is to ground so its easy to install. One button also goes back to your std map.
It did make my Atv run considerably smoother.
