Ok looking for a helmet cam, possibly a Drift Ghost S or a Go Pro 3 black.
Prefer the Drift as it don't look half a stupid mounted than the Go Pro, it's waterproof out of the box, has a on board sceen and accsessories are resonable.
Go Pro puts out good quality footage but havent seen the Drift in action.
Also the Drift HD is about $150 cheaoer for not a lot of difference 11Mpa CMOS sensor v the Ghost S 12Mpa.
Anyone using one at all?

I've got a drift HD. quality of the Video is top notch and the mounts are great because it has a standard tripod socket.

The only downside is wind noise, you WILL need the external mic. Standard mic is crap. Otherwise very good.

This is a vid I did last year on it. Excuse the slowness

Can't fault my GoPro. Had it 3 years and it's hit the deck hard more times that I can remember dirt biking and never let me down. Video and audio quality are great. I'd imagine the latest gen are even better.

Lol , Wouldn't have said I smoked any of them. Dubsandbikes got caught behind a really slow guy and I put the hammer down.

Maybe if the rc8 hadn't blown up and I didn't have to learn a new bike it would have been easier to stay in front. Who knows...

I've owned a Drift HD, and can happily recommend it. One of my main criteria when buying a helmet cam was being able to record decent audio of the ride without wind noise killing everything and at the time the Drift was the only one with an external mic option.

Here's a test video I shot

Another vote for GoPro from me. I'll be buying a second one when I have to give back the one I've borrowed.....

I bought a handle bar attachment for my Go pro and it's very good. I get a view of the screen without Mr Plod seeing the dials
