It's because in Australia we have no crime...
No people smugglers...
No sex slavery...
No Rapists...
No child pornogaphers...
No large scale drug dealers...
No big business tax evaders...
No doctors getting pharmacutical kick backs...
No mining companies ripping off the owners of the land...
No human rights issues...
After we get rid of "speeding Hooligans" we'll be free to get the real criminals...
Those pesky skate boarders!

Must say on my trip to Oz they love catching speeders.....they hide too, not even a sport. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

Yeah I got that impression, no road safety message when stopped or anything like that, to be fair when I was stopped I thought it was because I had a Kayak obscuring my nearside front window.
I was a tourist never did any checks just theres a ticket, had no ID on me, did not even know the address I was satying at, was tempted not to pay it but im too honest (as you would expect), what were they gonna do I was off back to UK 3 days later

Holy cr*p! And here I am thinking the Netherlands is extremely harsh on speeders. We're in paradise compared to that.
first time more than 50km/h over the limit will usually result in a 10 day ban. Second time will get you a ban for 3 to 6 months or something like that. And both are off course accompanied by a nice fine of a few 100 euros.
But two times more than 45 over the limit and having your car seized permanently is a whole different level of punishment.

By a few 100 euros i mean several 100 euros. Don't know the exact numbers but 50 over the limit wil be more than 500 i think. Haven't had a single speeding ticket myself so far * almost breaking hand knocking on Wood*

According to the news some weeks ago, the Dutch speeding fines are some of the highest in europe. Haven't had a single speeding ticket myself so far * almost breaking hand knocking on Wood*

Real criminals get treated better....... mm,mmm maybe we should all turn to a life of crime instead of being hard working tax payers with an occasional weakness for speed
