Well the thread title is a bit dramatic - I figured "tonight I was totaly gassed" wouldn't get the views.
I've been working in Cuba for 3 weeks and I had a bad case of food poisening on the last day, I've not had a decent nights sleep since I've been back. Prior to that I was working in in Venezuala, so I've not done any decent training since the end of feb.
Anyway, I went to Judo tonight and it was a total mare. Several times I thought I might throw up.
I've not felt that beasted since my Army days.
I can't wait to see how bad I feel tomorrow morning.

But I guess "only the good die young" ehehe

Pete...for your case I hope it is food poisoning...If you do not feel better soon, seriously consider the thought of a parasite or bug that may have defected from Cuba..That you may now be hosting in your body...Just a chance it might be, keep it in the back of your mind.

Haha! Good one Samba!
Dont worry Pete, i know what its like to hit trainingnagain after a break and just off the back of some illness (altho not as bad as food poisoning). Even tho you feel fine(ish) you dont realise how much your body is still repairing itself amd fighting off infection for a while afer you feel recovered until you push it hard.
Give it a bit more time and you will be back ready to get yourself back to full fitness.

I went deep in the heart of Mexico once. They said don't drink the water. I was drunk for a week!
