Some of you older SDers may remember me. Anyway, been away for a bit, now back in the UK, but in Shrops rather than Herts as before.
So bought a new motorcycle... A Suzuki B-King.
Yes I know, fugly, heavy, not nice looking, er, lot's of weight and did I mention, it doesn't look good?
But take it out on a real road and none of the above matters. It's a stonking road bike. Every ride finishes with adrenaline dripping out of my trousers. If you've never had a go on one, go for it if you get the chance.
Suzuki really fcuked up selling these things, I think mainly with the styling putting people off. But that hides an awful lot of awesomeness. I love this thing. And um, well that's it really... Suzuki B-King. Better than expected. By a lot.

Welcome back mate. Instantly recognised your avatar - one of a kind that one is!

Theres someone on here who's second bike is a B King and he's junked the ugly exhaust for something more conventional and it looks a lot better.

Thanks chaps. S'nice to be back. This is the best bike forum I've encountered. Period.
So, yeah, B-King is a naked Hayabusa (engine), frame, bars, pretty much everything else is different. Looks aside its a great bike. On that point I have ditched the howitzer exhausts and fitted a Micron system, which actually looks a bunch better than the originals. Sounds better too. I've also ditched the OE belly pan for an aftermarket job, which also moderates the fuglyness. Various other tweaks include bar end mirrors. Anyway, its the most exciting bike I've had since the SD and I had an RC8 in between, I'll get a few photos of the beast up in a bit. And yes, of course it's a fast black one. The silver ones suck and the blue and white ones are totally YMCA.

I bought my B-King new in 2011 for a pittance as I could no longer enjoy riding my modded Busa due to my ever advancing age. I still ride it frequently and it is a great compromise of power, handling and ergonomics. I have resisted the urge to mod it as I have most of my other bikes (especially the 1290R) as it is so outrageously unique in stock condition. Enjoy the B-King knowing that you are not likely to cross paths with too many other ones. It is a pretty exclusive club.

I had an early 1200 Bandit which was ( with decent shocks and nice pipe) a stonkingly good bike which gave me 5 years of joy. Then Suzuki diluted it and made it with a much cheaper finish
