In, Out or Shake It all About?

Not just for the UK guys. I'd be interested to hear everyone's POV on this!
So are we better off in, or out of Europe, or are we doomed whatever?

Not sure if this is off tangent, but how's the whole Muslim situation over there?

American media is all yellow journalism and hyperbole, taken at face value by it's audience.

So I'd be interested in hearing it from a local.

How will it effect expats living in other parts of Europe. Would you need a visa to go to France?

I can see the attraction to get away from some of the sinking EU countries, but I'm not sure that the British economy is that hot either.

Out of Europe (EU) = less migration, huh, talk to Norway about that.

The continued focus on immigration / migration is becoming grating.

Millions of Brits live in other countries. I've been to numerous countries in Africa and the West and have met Brit expats everywhere I've been.

The sooner we all realise that we're all stuck on the same wee blue and green ball hurtling through space, the better. The particular location one is born in on that ball should be irrelevant.

I guess I have never understood how it is that England is considered part of the EU. Correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is that a large portion of connectedness is related to banking and using the same currency. I am under the impression that England has it's own currency. It would surprise me to find that borders between EU countries have vanished and any place that an EU citizen wants to call home is granted without jurisdictional controls. What part of being considered EUish is pissing some off?
Over here we will be busy building a wall and stopping any foreigners from entering who think Mohammad wasn't born in Louisville Kentucky.
The new mayor of London is the same as the new mayor of The City of London or London the city?

Interesting to see what Scotland is going to do. I'm sure they'll call a referendum, it's just not fair; they voted to stay in and now they're getting dragged out.

Although it would be nice to see a unified Ireland in my life time.

Edit: Also looks like you guys also have to pick a new PM Gove or Boris?

To add insult to injury the 350 million pounds that was promised to get shifted from the EU to NHS was a massive UKIP lie.

I personally voted IN and woke up this morning pretty shocked at the result. I'm sad and ashamed to be British today. I could write a lot on this but there's no point in trying to convince the leavers that they were wrong and no point in preaching to the converted. But I will share a post on Facebook from one of the old-time SD Forum members which, IMO, pretty much sums it up....

"Ya can't give a gun to a baby and then moan when it shoots you in the arse.
Bet you a Deutschmark that those who voted out don't lift a fooking finger to work harder and make it all worthwhile. Those who voted in surely won't be motivated to do so either.
The uneducated masses are clearly now the majority. This is what happens when the government increases tuition fees for tertiary education.
Keep em stupid, tell them the system is broken when it's not then sell them a magic bean to fix it. Gonna be a lot of very wealthy people laughing their arses off today. Good luck if you are working class, you're gonna get fooked over so hard at work, in education, healthcare and especially retirement."

There is also this small fact to ponder. Since this morning it's estimated that the UK economy has lost $350 BILLION. That's equivalent to 40 years of EU contributions.

Most disappointing was my hope that with a remain decision we'd finally see the back of that odious gargoyle Farage, but now we have to endure him strutting around like a peacock....

I don't think that Shade's comment was pointing the finger at the younger generation, more the level of education of the people who voted to leave.

This referendum was hijacked by people who whipped up a malingering dissatisfaction with politicians, austerity, big business greed and then added in a big dollop of immigration fear and jingoism and misled the public into leaving Europe believing that this was an answer to all these problems. When what they should have been doing was to search for the source of their discontent within their own government and economic policies rather than to blame Brussels and immigrants. I bet most of the leavers voted in this shitty government in the first place.

It only takes a certain amount of intelligence to see this.

Aye, those who voted here to leave are the same as those who have and will vote for Trump there.

I think that No. 47 was inferring that a lot of the crowd that voted for us to leave the EU are of the same mindset as the Orcs that tend to vote for that orange twat. You know the type; knuckle draggers with single digit IQs, easily whipped up into a frenzy of xenophobic hate. You only have to point the finger at anyone foreign and blame them for all the problems and the Neanderthals believe it.
"Rich entertainment types" and those with any reasonable level of intelligence or education aren't generally found in that voting demographic.

think its a bit retarded that people who lost the vote automatically say the people that voted out are thick....
Think it was more a of a vote to piss off the current government than to leave the EU IMHO , as for the Londoners , it isn't all about London , even Manchester where I live voted to stay , however the majority of our country voted out so I either accept that fact or vote with their feet and fook off somewhere else .
That's democracy isn't it?
The embarrassed to be British thing is also a tad ridiculous , the Scottish MEP fooking brown nosing to the Scotland to stay in the EU is embarrassing , they had the chance to leave the UK a few years ago and decided not to as they would have been out of the EU anyway.
Surely they should be happy now as they can have their referendum which they still might lose and then reapply for ????
They don't want to mention that just after the last referendum the arse fell out of the oil price and they were yet further subsidised by the rest of the UK....
Can't stand fooking brown noses , and the eu certainly loved mary dolls sucking up except Spain , France , Italy and Germany don't seem to keen on them staying now do they.....

Markets all seem back to normal and as usual some elite few scrotes have probably made a shit load of money , Farage is cnut , Cameron is a cnut , and Corbyn is almost a cnut ( unless he pulls Blair up for the Chillcot enquiry that's out tomorrow) , then he'll just be half a cnut

I welcome the change , think we need one
Rant over and still proud to be British
