I really like this clip, makes me want to get back on the bike ASAP. Looks like a great road to try out. Now I just want my 40t rear sprocket.
Nice to see a Ducati actually being ridden for fun too, not just poser value like I see most people around here (I know you ride yours hard MrZ32).

That streach of road is in So.Cal I believe ,,, it's where all the "posers" go to "Z" and be seen, a bit "crowded" don't you think every weekend their scraping somone up off the pavement, and a lost set of Alpinestars,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Nice road and good driving

I dont think it's crowded and there's lots of run-off space IMHO.. you should see some of the mountainroads in Austria, there's no run-off and the roads seem smaller hehe

At what point do you realise that "riding hard" is a person to person function? We all ride hard and no one deserves to be critised simply because they do not ride as hard as you. In my youth I too would critisise other riders but it wasn't until I began to age (past 40) that you start to accept others as they are.

We all are in this sport because we love it. Instead of saying this brand is poser value etc etc, hows about accepting slower riders are probably riding to their current skillbase limit.

My favourite saying dad drummed into me is this.. "You can judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him"

That is a good fun road but it is also a poser road. Most of the guys out there on the weekend are only there to be seen and hopefully see a celebrity at the Rock Store. A lot of the turns are very tight and the sumo guys love to go there and pick on the sportbike dudes. They eat them alive on that road.

bit of a generalisation that, i know quite a few ducati riders and they ride them hard, the guys i know are seriously quick, and not just in a straight line like most jap big bore sports bike riders! (yes, i know, another generalisation........)
As long as it's not pissing down on saturday i'm off to binna burra/beechmont via boonah and beaudesert on my ducati if anyone wants to ride? leaving yamanto maccas about 8 am.

looks like he went in a little fast and by the time he realised he tried using the rear brake to hold a tight line but ran out of tyre, he didn't touch the front brake once, looking at the number plate mount he may be used to harleys and their rear brake only style..........

paul.
the crash knobs didn't help much, relatively low speed and it's still stuffed the whole LHS

i just installed a new chain and 16/40 gearing, awesome. it will now wheelie (with a full tank) in second with just the throttle, no pulling on the bars, and with a tug (a little tug mind you) in third.

IM slowly getting used to the feel from the front end, im used to the jap sportsbike thing being over the front of the bike with my weight, i am getting my body almost into a position on my SDR that i am comfortable to push like i normaly do, problem is my race bike is a zx10r so no sooner i get used to one i spend a whole day on the other changing my style, just need to get more confidence in teh front end on a naked bike.
