Hey dudes,
After some advice know some of you know your PCs/laptops.
After a laptop for general internet browsing, I dont download films or much music just want something thats good with HD gopro stuff editing, downloading, making/watching movies online etc.
Not after an Apple I dont think as dont have any other apple products.
Can someone point me in the right direction of what I need, all this Ram, pentium action and general stuff dont mean much to me, really dont want to have to talk to salesmen at PC world/Curries but know I need a laptop specific to my needs, also the laptop generally does not leave the house.
Buget of 500 max (but rather spend alot less) but happy to buy a used PC.
Ta muchly

Given that you say the laptop won't leave the house it would be much cheaper to buy a desktop than a laptop.
In terms of laptops if you go to ebuyer and look at their laptops in your price range and look at popularity you won't go far wrong. for editing video files you'll need power and memory rather than clock speed so buy the best processor you can. do not spend extra on a bigger hard disk: buy external hard drives - you can get 2Tb drives for under £100 now.
do not pay extra for pre-loaded MS-office! use star office: its free to download and you can still create word docs and excel spreadsheets or, if you have to have microshaft then getting your office from an educational site is much cheaper.
You'll need Sony Vegas pro or some such for editing your videos.
If you want to pm me with your budget I'll send you some links to things you might want to look at.
