If they spent this much time and effort into keeping idiots off the road instead of certain types of vehicles everyone would be a lot safer.

what they should do is ban the custom bike builders who only know how to make stupid hardtails! especially the ones with the apehangers. god those are the stupidist looking things!

I read about it on the Jockey Journal.
This sucks. What's next, horsepower limits? 50hp is adequate for a two wheel vehicle
I'm no longer allowed to build a rigid in Quebec but they haven't outlawed them yet. Too many "bikers" in Quebec for that to pass. But then again my registration went up 100% to 640$ two years ago for the SD and "sport" bikes cost 1400$ a year for registration.
I should probably keep my eyes open for an old rigid Panhead that I've been wanting, there should be some nice rigid bikes coming up for sale out of NB.

New Bumswick is a confused sh%thole anyway
Nothing against rigid frames , just don't see the point of them , not a reason to ban as long as the rest of the bike is up to spec from a braking standpoint

As a previous owner of a ridged vrod i know they have a time and place, mine was the drag strip and every time a took it out on the street i would need a new set of kidneys. In saying that if you run a soft tyre pressure its acts as a form of shock absorber.

I don't like hard tails as thy are uncomfortable, handle badly and show that a lot of bike builders are too dam lazy to make a proper bike, however.........
If people want to ride/ build them, then they should be allowed to without some government body who know eff all about it dictating what people can and can't spend there own time and money on !!
