I wouldn't be surprised if it is real Dainese... sold out of the back door for manufacturing cost plus profit.
Wonder what Dainese and others make on their goods, all gear I got recently is either made in India, China or Vietnam.
Obviously companies like Alpine stars, teknic etc go there for the high quality product and to develop the local economy...

So who's going to be the first to buy?

I just bought a Dainese leather jacket and it's made in Tunisia.

I bought it from Motoin.de in Germany ,posted to Oz for half the price of the local stealer (team homo)

But that site has heaps of good looking gear, wish I could read Chinese

Its a knock off. Here is the real Dainese. http://www.dainese.com/us_en/motorbike/ ... tml?cat=41

Notice that the strap that goes over your shoulder attaches to a plastic ring that attaches to the plastic shell at the top and fourth articulating piece. The knock off has the holes punched in the plastic, but the plastic ring are missing and the strap is relocated. Relocating the shoulder strap is going to affect the comfort and function.

Also, the real protector has two straps that go around your midsection. IIRC, you can adjust the position of these straps using velcro. The knock off has the two straps sewed together.

The real question is whether the knock off has the honeycomb crash absorbing system of the original. I'd bet not.

I would not buy that. I would also not buy the original Dainese - I own it allready.

It doesn't do well in tests - not so good absorbing power. But worse than that, the velcro is crap! I've had to sew a new patch of velcro onto it.
The only good thing is that it's very light and has a lot of air going through

Ive got the knox aegis 7 plate. I have had this since they first came out and its been great but not crash tested and just hope it stays that way. I also have a force field pro but the biggest problem with that is it gets really hot!! So I just always wear the knox lighter and cooler.
