To cut the story short, our island police force has decided to crack down on what they consider the "fatal four", speeding, drinking and driving, using mobile phones and not wearing seat belts. As usual, no sign of them cracking down on general inattentive behaviour - after all, how do you police this sort of thing anyway?
A facebook page has been set-up in anticipation of their increased presence on the roads and according to information compiled by many, today during their first target day there were 130+ officers believed to be in 25-30 separate checks on our roads at any one time. Bearing in mind we are a 45 square-mile island this is quite considerable. You can tell our force has nothing better currently to spend their time on (they don't to be honest).
The last thing I want to be on at the moment is a Superduke! The only reason I didn't get booked in a 15mph zone today was because I was following a car. These bikes can barely manage going as slow as 15mph on standard gearing, honestly officer.

You can't have a police state without police.
