Last night I saw Mastodon, Opeth and Ghost at the Fox Theater in Oakland. The show was badass to say the least. Mastodon rocked it. Opeth started out with their newer renfair music, but later dropped into their swedish death metal that made them famous. I missed ghost because my stupid friends wanted to finish eating dinner, and they thought doors open at 8 so the show will start around 9. Wrong. It's oakland and they have curfew to get done before midnight.

The coolest part was as I was leaving the parking lot before the show, I met Bent Hinds and a couple of his friends. They were strolling around downtown oakland smoking exotic cigarettes. We walked passed some hipster cafe/bars and no one even recognized Brent. I mean really people. If you see a viking god walking down the street at least bow and pay your respects. When ragnarok unfolds, the hipster non believers will suffer in great agony as the creature who shall not be named cleans its teeth with their bones. Just sayin...
