Advise the insurer.

Failure to do so may result in the insurers declining a claim on the basis of you not notifying them of a ‘material fact.’

It is not relevant whether they charge an additional premium, other than you would need to pay the additional premium. The important element is to advise them.

Your worse case for non-disclosure is the insurer voiding the policy from inception, at which point the police become interested in your activity of riding on the public highway during for the last ‘X’ period without insurance.

I declared it, it made no difference to my premium and they probably would only replace it for std in the case of an accident but it's declared and so there can be no arguments about it being on there in case of an accident.

Mine obviously had never heard of a MotoBox so they've got it down as an aftermarket airfilter. Didn't make any difference to premium.

My MH box is declared as a modified airbox. Also told em about cans and PCIII, i dont think any of it raised the premium as total gains are under 5%.

Imo if you dont tell em you arent covered so may as well just not bother....or get 3rd party only cos it wont pay out if you stack it and they find out.
