The MV's just don't do it for me anymore. The styling is starting to look dated. If I were going to get another sport bike, it would probably be the new S1000RR. I test rode the "old" version and it was pretty impressive. I sat on the "new" 2012 version at the motorcycle show and it was even more comfy than the old version. It was reminiscent of my GSXR with Helibars. And, the wife thought it was cool looking to boot.

I wasn't at all impressed by the MVs at the Toronto Motorcycle Show. It's MVs first year in Canada and their entry into the market kinda sucks.
The bikes are dated, and the up-close fit and finish just isn't what I would've expected. Bare crappy looking exhaust welds, mediocre bodywork fit/finish, and just overall "GSXR" quality to me. It wouldn't be bad, if it weren't for the price.
Ducati Panigale vs MV F4? No contest. I'd buy the Duc in heartbeat.
The F3 looks a little better than the F4s, but its marginal. I didn't inquire about price but if its anything much higher than a Daytona 675, I'd avoid that too. Also, sounds like a Ferrari? sounds like someone's never heard a Ferrari

I gotta sthou with helibars , heated grips , over 200 donkeys , youre right it aint no SD , V twins are totally different bikes , and more fun round the tight twistiy stuff
The one thing i am sure of is it sure aint forgetable , if ya turn the gadgets off ( which are a bit biz) , it'll make you wee a bit it's so fooking fast , and loud ,Almost certain ive seen 140 in third , even managed 2500 miles on it in five days last June ,no problems.
Will be doing Aragon in May next year on it which should be great , and try and squeeze a few Spanish ones in too

Owning an MV you gotta have soul and a mindset,, how this thread went from a middleweight trip to a S1000 R which is way to much for the street is beyond me,,,,,,,,,,,the fricken 675 is more that enough,,,,a smaller bike will make a better rider out of ya,,,pushing it much more and using "all" the gears ,,,unless the "freeway" is your type of riding,,,,roads around me a good 250 two-stroke will take you as fast as you could possibly go,,,,,,,,,,,,,course the freeway is another story,,,,could be there you need 200 hp,,,,,,

Or a Jap bike, so you look like every one else... Not many corners here in WA so I think top speeds would be a must!
