The Fireblade was the bike that made me *want* a big bike, back when I was riding a 125 around a school playground for my CBT in 1993 and someone pulled up on one to watch his mate wobble around as well. Most incredible thing I had ever seen. Throttle wheelied away and I was hooked.

I commute on my bike. Had a 2012 blade for 3 years, loved it's solid quality build, reliability and perfect handling but grew to dislike the constantly slipping rear wheel from October to May every year here in the UK.

The 1290r is my actual ideal bike, and wouldn't get rid of it but a blade with TC, QS, proper ABS and active suspension is going to be hard to not try to secretly put in the garage.
