I'd have probably stopped behind that car if I hadn't moved to right to filter past. Would have been horrific if he had been there. I'd certainly been dragging that twat out of the truck. Going way to fast and either on the phone or rubber necking.

Sorry, had to watch it twice as forgot what I saw the first time (watched one of the advertised videos at the end..... I need a Lambo )

Can't figure out why that first truck was on the wrong side of the road after the turning, but yeah the crashing truck was blatantly not paying attention to the road ahead.

Substitute the pick up for a large transit van and the hit car for my Golf and that was me back in Sept last year. In my case he managed to write off three cars and the van but nobod with long lasting injuries. The pay out has just paid for my 300 exc so alls well that ends well

The car driver is not that innocent... Why was he fooking stopping in the middle of the road for nothing... Nobody / nothing before him and the road is turning a little so pick-up driver could have not see him.

Anyway the guy is a pretty lucky bastard

I've ridden this road quite a few times (just past where the video is the road gets twisty and very nice ride up and down the other side of the mountain)...

not sure they go into it in the video but the cars on the other side of the road are a funeral procession. typically in the south of the US, when there is a funeral procession (front car- hearse) had already turned off the road to the right (riders left) so you miss that part. the cars are going slow and the cars in front of the rider were pulling over to show respect to the funeral.

Might have been a better idea to pull out of the road way if you are going to stop, but either way the person driving the pickup that rear ended the car and missed the bikes was just not paying attention.

I got rear ended four weeks ago in the wifes E46. I had been stopped on a straight 2 lane road with clear line of sight for 1/2 mile. brake lights on, turn signal on, another car behind me, third driver just didn't see us sitting there and hit both of us...

pay attention out there and stay frosty!
