Any news on this? Or have you just decided to take my money and run...
I'm posting this in the public forum so everyone and especially Ken aka Power Cell can see what's going on.
I posted the throttle bodies and it seems they have yet to arrive.
Once a decent amount of time went by I contacted the post office (as I told Ken) and they have launched an investigation which will end with either the insurance paying out or the parcel being found. The Post Office need a certain amount of lead time before they'll pay out which I think has a further 16days to run.
So, I understand you're nervous but no-one is trying to rip you off here and I'm sorry your parcel has been delayed but there have been times when I've had to wait for weeks for stuff to arrive from the states.
I hope that posting this in the public forum will help assuage your doubts but: in the event you are dissatisfied may I suggest you use the services of BAsh? He is a professional debt collector!
Having said all that; posting as though I've ignored your posts when I've told you all the above before is a little vexing tbh.
BTW: I've given you my home address and telephone number.

One thing you may want to consider is US Customs. They are cracking down on all packages coming into the country due to the percieved terror threat. TBs, if discovered would definitely warrant further inspection form a newish CBT employee.
Good luck with the transaction.

I'm not choosing sides either, just saying that, it would really help diffuse the situation, even if you're pissed off.

I knew nothing about this situation, until now. Just read it.
But I've been on this forum for ages and both you, Powercell, and you Tripod Dave, have both been prominent players for a long time. Both of you come across as honest guys who are into their SDs. Neither of you seem to be the kind of guys that would do anything dishonest. i'd have trusted either of you if you needed help or I had to put my faith in you. Seriously, you get to have a feeling for long term posters.
I'm sure it will work out. I've had to wait a long time for stuff from the States sometimes. The customs shit is getting ridiculous.
Chill out and trust each other.

The Italians jacked the price up on their site by quite a bit. At that point it was pretty obvious to me that they had sent it, but had not insured it and had no tracking number so they were passing on the loss. About three months later, I noticed that they had dropped their price again. I inferred that they got the slipper they sent me back.
I've done many international transactions without a hitch, but this one went south. It didn't help that it was also the most expensive international transaction I've ever tried. Bottom line, I have no idea what happened but, I suspect customs fooked the whole deal up. I hope you both get this sorted soon.

While the forum may have been the initiation point of this transaction (?), why drag out the dirty laundry out for all to see when there's no clear conclusion to this yet?
There's a reason we (as a business) don't try to move any goods via USPS. It isn't just the border/customs fascists, but the zombies at USPS don't give a rat's ass about anything either. Except losing their jobs because fewer all the time use their broken system ... And I don't about the rest of you, even though USPS issues tracking numbers, I've never been able to successfully "track" anything with them. Seriously, they issue this number, but if you go to look it up, it never resolves in their lookup, at least not until the item is delivered. International is worse: If it's ever showed up at all for me, it's been up to weeks afterward. Point: Their tracking system is worthless.

Wasn't for throttle bodies or anything as expensive...
I ordered Superduke tank panel stickers off fleabay..
They came from the U.K. I believe from a member too..
Well..they got lost when they arrived in New York.. I contacted
the supplier and we both did our investigation from our sides..
Mine was with U.S.P.S. His side with the Royal Mail.. I didn't
Have much luck myself...I think he had more luck.???
More than anything..patience..is what it took...
They finally did show up..it took a few months..
That's my experience...They probably will show up..

Citylink, fedex, dhl all offer tracking, but at must inflated cost, especially for small low value parts.

I know Tripod Dave would not rip someone off, I also know Powercell or any SD member really would say they never got an item when they had, or at least id like to think so.
I hope the item turns up like one post on this thread a little later than it should, I dont get how it can be lost in transit really as no courier would have any reason to steal them, so they must be in the postal system.............. somewhere.
How long have you waited so far?
When I had a cheap item go missing in UK, I could not make a claim for over a month, I suggest an international parcel you have to wait a little longer.

It would serve all concerned better to assume that all parties have been tottally truthful at this point in time.
This leaves the product in the great space of the unknown, where it may remain.
It matters not what relationship the seller-sender has with the shipper. The buyer has a relationship with the seller and seller alone. The statement that the buyer needs to wait till the contract between seller and shipper is fully resolved is hogwash. Who the fuckk would make such a rediculous statement. Give PowerCell the monies you recieved and If and when they show up, Powercell will send you the funds back.
Reasonable behavior is not being followed from Tripod. Show the same goodwill that Powercell showed in the genesis of this deal.

You have had your $340 refunded as the goods have been returned to me as 'rejected by recipient'.
I was going to say something funny here but I really can't be bothered.

I feel there has been a lot of sensible comments on here and some genuine attempts to keep things rational.
I think almost everyone has been grown up about this and not called people names but I should like to take the opportunity to thank Powercell for his completely graceless last comment which I feel sums up the 'relationship' nicely.

First off. I'm not taking sides here.
Basics as i see it are............if Dave had replied to Powercell on the PM then this shit would never have been brought to the forum. That is it. Simple as. Powercell PM's Dave with a query. Dave replies promptly. Dave obviously wasnt replying hence the original thread asking what the fook was going down.
Now. There is no hate for Dave here. But i bought wheels of the guy and it was the worst transaction i've had. Nearly 3 months to get sorted and the communication was dire. Fair enough, Parcelforce lost a box, the post office damaged the label on another. But even with all that if the communication had have been there it would have been sorted out in a few weeks. As it was i basically had to rant at the guy on PM to get it sorted and ended up getting a partial refund as compensation.
As for Dave bring the pillar of society and stand up forum members. Just saying there is previous of poor communication. Add to that getting a group of guys to change their trackday date to suit then bothering to turn up or answer the phone was bad crack.
No hate. No hard feelings. Just facts.
Agree with Klinkster though. Put it to bed. Just doesnt seem fair PC gettin all that agro when from my point of view our Dave has has previous transactions that went this way.

I don't think I was any harsher than any other member on here. I too have fallen foul of trust based transactions on here and ALSO on ebay so I can understand both members frustrations.
Probably best not to deal across "the pond" in future for everyone. Just seemed to me that Dave was being compared to another less scrupulous member on here that did actually steal the goods and then sell them on..

But also, once it had been resolved good grace would dictate that the money be taken and hands shook and all's good.
That's me though and I don't expect or want anyone to be the same.
I did just buy those throttle bodies tho...
Anyone have a spare SDR engine?
On a different note, Powercell, did you firmly establish that the SM swing arm was longest?
