Resorted to garage time

The weather here in the UK is totally crap at the moment. I always go on about riding all year round but the last few weeks have just been so unappealing that I haven't been able to make myself go out for a ride and with no work commitments forcing me out whatever the conditions all the bikes have just sat dormant.

Spent a few hours yesterday out in the garage giving the SD a total going over with degreaser, WD40, ACF50 and chain lube. Looks as good as it ever gets ready for the next time the roads are dry but the forecast is bad for a long time. Here the roads are not just wet, they're covered in rotting leaves, potholes overflowing with brown water, mud, horse shit and it just won't stop raining. But it's still good spending time with the bikes and the smell of oil and petrol.

On top of that my father in law has "borrowed' my pressure washer so I've no quick way to clean off all the crud if I do venture out. It's back to the old bucket of water and a cloth.

I love those anodised adjusters on that shock. red and blue for when your compressed for time and need to rebound quickly. Which one was which again?

Ha, ha! Those adjusters are tacky as fook aren't they! Hate them but the rest of the finish and quality on this shock is superb so I have to tolerate them. Same down at the quick shifter which is a great HMRacing unit but it's anodised a crap red colour that has faded to pink. Luckily it's hidden away behind the gear lever but one day I will bung a large diameter shrink sleeve over it and hide it away.

Also note the MH air block off plates that were black but have faded now to a sort of dark purple!
