Last month I was visiting my family in Trieste, and we went shopping in Venice because that's what people do there. It's basically a giant shopping mall. Out on the point in Venice I realised where Rossi got his Sun and Moon motif. As the sun sets, you can see the moon rise in your peripheral vision. Literally, you can see the sun on the right and the moon on the left at the same time without turning your head. I guess it's because your facing south and there is nothing around to block the view besides water. It was a bit of a trip, I never noticed that view before. You see a lot of Sun and Moon motif in venice on the paintings and masks and all that. I wish I had a 180degree fish eye lens to capture the view. Maybe I was hallucinating from drinking too much absinth.
