Just fitted drswade's Scotts damper to my bike - replacing the SLS telescopic damper I had on.

Easy to fit, great bit of kit. If anyone is fitting one of these to an R then you should know that you have to fit the handlebar clamps onto the triple clamp in the right position as the Scotts only fits the bike in the one configuration. You need to put the clamp bolts into the foremost position on the triple clamp and turn the clamps so they are biased towards the rear of the bike. (this ensures that the damper pivot point is exactly in line with the steering head bearings).

Not sure whether to offer my LSL damper for sale. It comes with a fitting kit for the '06 models onwards but could be adjusted to fit earlier models as it's only the height of the ally bar and mounting bracket needs to be cut down. (Tank clearance is higher on the later models). If anyone is interested then let me know and I'll look what I paid for it and think what I'd take for it. It's about one year old.
