I bought my last one from SD.Net....

List it here and bump it a bit, somebody thinking about it might well decide it's the one for them.

Good luck

Stratkat I'm at work and cannot view craigslist. I do however see "Richmond" in your link.
Are you just hitting the Richmond area or are you covering more? How about the state, regional, or greater areas?

Great example of a well sorted SD.

I don't know the market over there but here in California Superdukes are selling between $5000-$6000.

It`s a "Buyers Market" however there a few buyers as times are tough and people are holding back on spending on luxury items like bikes.
I have just gone through this trying to sell my 990, the bike was in good condition and price around $1500 under what most where advertised but still limited interest.
The guy that bought my 990 said he had the same problem selling his ZX to fund the purchase of my 990 so it would seem it`s across the board with all brands.

Strat, there's nothing wrong with your bike. It's exactly the spec I would be recommending anyone on this forum to consider if looking for a used SD. I think like as been said it's just not a buoyant market at the moment, you just need to find the right buyer who actually knows what they're looking for - so this site is the best place IMO.

Despite the mass opinion that extras aren't recoverable in a sale I sort of disagree in that if your bike was up against another three SD's all of the same general age then yours has the advantage. I wouldn't drop the price unless you were urgently needing a sale. Also you'res comes with a sort of pedigree and history in that you are well known on the site and your attitude and approach says something about the way this bike has been cared for. I'd buy a bike of you. (But take off all the little orange bits )

The mileage is probably higher than average for the year but again, anyone that did their research would know that this isn't a problem at all if the bike has been looked after. Ask Klinky and No47.

Plus you're underselling this bike. Looing at it there's way more parts and additional mods on here that you mention. You need to itemise everything that's been done - ever seen an ad for a race bike or well prepped track bike - the list seems to go on forever! But is shows that an ordered mind has been in charge of the bike and you're buying into that obsession with detail and the provenance that comes with the bike. And no offence mate - but you have an attention to detail mind and attitude that sometimes borders on pshyco so that can only be a good thing IMO - you just need to get that across in your ad.

I'd post up a bespoke ad on here tailored to talk to prospective buyers who have the nounce to do their research and get on here in the first place and then get other forum members to endorse the additional stuff you've done and show the value of it. Do you have the OE stuff as well to throw in?
