Went up to Stafford show last Sunday on the 990. Good to get out on it again after quite a period where it's been neglected in the garage draining its battery and feeling unloved.
Forgot how good a bike it is and why I'll keep it.
It will be ten years in December that I've owned this bike from new and picked it up in a snowstorm for the 150 mile ride back to London. Still remember freaking out when the petrol light didn't go off after I filled up and riding back to the dealer to complain that they'd sold me a defective bike. "They all do that mate" was the amused response I got half an hour later. Why is not something I've ever found out.

I recall the same the first time I filled up my 990 and like you could never figure out why it would be like that.
10 years is a long time to own any bike, good to see you getting out of the storage unit and giving it a decent run.
