I've got Astars GP Plus and some Held Phantoms. TBH I only wear the astars, the Phantoms are too nice to wear!

I love my Dainese Full Metal Pro gloves. Very expensive new but I get them second hand off Ebay. Got three pairs because if they stop making them I still want to have some for the future! The most I ever paid was £90 and the least £45.

They fit me like a glove. They are very comfortable. They are cool enough for summer but not vented. I've fallen off at high speed and they are very strong and the leather has not worn through nor has the kevlar stitching broken. Titanium knuckle part wore through but looks cool because it went all rainbow colours!

I use these pretty much all year round. Not lined so need an inner glove in winter but a perfect fit, kangaroo leather on the palms and fingers. Had latest pair over 2 years and still in great condition. Last pair had been down the track twice and hardly a mark on them. Left them on the bike one evening like a prat and by the time I remembered some **** had stolen them

All these nice gauntlets ... I use those too, Helds for longer rides and at the track (Phantoms and Titans).

But around town, in summer (more like 3 seasons here), I use these: http://www.cortechperformance.com/xcart ... 264&cat=29

If you're doing a lot of high speed miles (motorway, freeway, autobahn) - probably not the best choice.

But for the stop-n-go urban grind (for me, a daily affair), I not only really appreciate the comfort, but they've been impressively long-wearing as well. Much longer lived than similar offerings from A* and AGV for me. As it's much warmer here than anywhere in the UK, the cooling they provide is most welcome. Great feel too - as good as my Helds.

Got arc-on's Competizione gloves last month after they garnered the "Best Buy" award in RIDE UK's 2013 summer glove test.
Held Titans outscored them by one point for almost twice the price.
Huge/wide gauntlets make fitting them over my Motoport One-piece mesh kevlar suit's large fold-over style sleeves a breeze.
Has the usual high performance features:
Kangaroo palm with double layers in usual areas
Super-fabric/Kevlar
Stingray skin palm sliders
Bridged 3rd and fourth finger
Pinkie finger stingray slider and double layers wrap
But one feature is looking great:
elastic stitching in the fingers palm facing side to relax the hand.
Started with Held 2277 Profi's in 03'.
Cost $70 to ship to California.
Knox Handroid's also received a "recommended" designation along with the Held Titans.

For the riding I do considering Dainese Carbon Cover or Held Evo Thrux

I swear that Speed and Strength snuck into my home at night, measured my left and right hand, and then left just as quietly through the window.

behold, the Speed and Strength Twist of the Wrist.

I love them. And with the exception of the velcro stitching coming off (reapplied with my field dressing needle and sewing skills), I've had them for about 5 years now.

They are a wide palmed and short(er) fingered glove. Most of the gloves out there are for narrow fingered skinny handed folks....unlike me.

I use the GP Pro as well but also have the Alpinestarts SP-X since they're well vented with protection. I have them in black but they come in orange as well:
