What kind of sunglasses are you guys using? I was a diehard Ray Ban supporter till I found out they sold out to an Italian conglomerate! I loved their history. So after i lost my last set (get this, i left em on my seat while putting my helmet on and drove off, went back but they were lost to the ages, had em for years too!)I did some research and ordered a pair of American Optical Aviators.

Since I have contacts I need good sunnies specially with the high UV here so I use Serengeti, driver lens polarised.
http://www.serengetieyewear.com.au/Prod ... oduct=7612
This is my 3rd pair and every time I walk in a shop I try some other ones not on looks but on quality of vision and I always go back.
Tried ray bans and the design is maybe more modern but the lenses are crap.

Has been great wearing these:

Tried maui jims but as great as the lenses were, felt they were too heavy. I have some bulletproof oakley radars for sports, but feel about as comfy wearing those casually as I do spandex bike shorts

I have some Persol Aviators with photochromatic/polarized lens. They are great... cost me $400 + tax though

Ray ban, how do you Oakley guys get them on while rearing a helmet? Those straight ear pieces don't work with my helmet.

Oakleys FTW. Great lenses, light, comfy, and durable.

I never wear sunglasses while riding. Only tinted visors will do.

Oakleys are crap! The last pair I bough cost $260 and 2 years later the lenses are flaking.
Now don't tell me its from salt air and sweet. This is what Oakley reckons and will try and convince you that this is the problem.
I now have a pair of safety glasses UV wraps with polarised and anti scratch lenses from the hardware store for I think about $29.
I have had these glasses for 2 years and they are fantastic.
By the way I'm not the only unhappy Oakley customer.

Oakleys generally for me though I have been using a nice pair of raybans for the last year as I'd lost my oakleys and found some raybans!

Just got some new O's limited edition (apparently) Flak Jackets? in orange and white. Got them from the Oakley outlet place when I was in UK.

Currently Bolle plastic lenses, and Ray Bans glass lenses.
The best glass optics by far are Serengeti. Loved my last pair.

i use cheap-o yellow lens glasses with the foam seal around the rims to help keep air out ....

When i got back into riding 4-1/2 years ago i started out with clear lens's for about 2 years - then needed new glasses and thought i'd try tinted ones - it messed up my depth perception so much o overshot a fooking turn and did some unexpected dirt riding for a stretch.... So i tried on more glasses and found that the YELLOW makes everything POP and seem more vivid , been riding yellow ever since now - about 2-1/2 years . Like em.

Not to stray off topic. But, number 10, you can't deny, it looks ridiculous.

I don't wear sunglasses under my helmet, mainly because I've got a UV reactive PinLock insert, but also because I find it uncomfortable with the arms between the helmet and head.

But the PinLock I use now is frikken awesome! Used to use a yellow insert on my old helmet and found during the brightest days (yes we have them every now and then, just rarely), it took the glare/shine out of my vision. Where as at night, it enhanced the detail in my sight, plus took out the glare for headlights.

Did some ground works on a Mcdonalds site in Newark about 18 years ago, when they opened they were giving away free sunglass'es with burgers........I ended up with quite a few pairs!
