Nice weather today so took a run up to HM this afternoon to see what was going on. Met a couple of guys who came running out when I arrived asking what year my bike was and everything. Turns out they were in the process of converting an '07 SD into a track bike and wanted to know the lowdown on parts to change to a single seat and all the airbox mods etc. Nice guys. Been into motocross and then Supermoto, had moved over to tracking a pair of Yamaha R6s and then had decided to get an SD because it appealed to them.

Ended up stripping my bike apart to show them the single seat differences and what they needed to get to make the change. If anyone has any single seat parts spare they would be interested, I'm sure, in buying them.

Encouraged them to join the SD.net as a source of info and support. We really should have Superduke.net business cards to hand out to people like this with info and contact details.

Weather improving here, first time this year my Racetecs K3s seem to be appropriate tyres again and I spent a few hours rounding off the flat that has appeared on the rear and doing as many stoppies and wheelies as I could fit in the ride. Clip on bars definitely make popping the front wheel up a lot less intimidating and easier to deal with. Really liking the new riding position this year.
