As I'm sure you are aware the server was down for about 18 hours and as a Mod I must admit I felt totally inadequate No fooking idea what to do and where to even start looking. I'm sure it will get discussed in the mods section but no SD.net for 18 hours was some scary shit and I would feel a whole lot happier if we had a game plan when such an event happens. If any web guys have any bright ideas I'm all ears.

I felt a little helpless too, the situation is that this is hosted on a massive toaster in the sky. When it goes down it is normally reported at if it is out of our control i.e. affecting loads of sites at once, mistake, puff of smoke, slap the work ex kid.

I just assumed it was my fault. I have a crap track record with anything to do with computers and programmes - everything I come into contact with doesn't work. Sorry guys. I'm glad it fixed up though.
