Like the topic says, I'm having a tattoo.....its either "time stands still for no man" or time stops for no man" which do we think is best? And its going on the back of my forearm.

I've always liked " RUST NEVER SLEEPS " , but I think that was from a Rustolem paint advert and you would have to include the ® .

Its a quote that is as old as English literature.
I believe the original is in Chaucer (c 1390):
" For thogh we slepe or wake, or rome, or ryde, Ay fleeth the tyme; it will no man abyde."

it is repeated in diaries, books and documents changing over the years.
For example we have
Tyde nor time tarrieth no man.
1592 R. Greene

and
Time and tide tary on no man.
1639 J. Clarke

Personally I've always wanted a big W tatooed on each bum cheek so when I bend over it spells WOW!
Although seriously I like the idea of having the Chaucer quote in old english script around the left bicep and
"Therefore, send not to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee" John Donne around the right

If you ask me...the bigger question is what font are you gonna use!

Consider the weight, case, spacing, kern, colour, language (if not English) and size.

Then what ink you want.

In fact, why bother....life is too short to spend it deliberating such things.
