I bought some CD's way back when of the Blow Monkeys and have reawakened myself to thier music. I am wondering if they were any good live. The musicianship and the production is first class. They have a very full sound and are extremely tight. Is there another band that is similar to that sound? Animal Magic has got an extremely complicated tempo and that is not available to schlop musicians. What does anyone know and did they have a good following? They may be a little too far back for some to remember, lest they were still in diapers back then. This whole average age of Superdukers shines a whole new light on just how far back subject matter can go. Most of the stuff I post should be listed in the ancient history threads
