Well, its obviously dated. Things have become a lot worse in the last 5 years. But, if you step back and ask the question who is really benefitting from this, its not the American or Chinese people. Its all the "American" corporations. And, by corporations, I mean the very few obscenely wealthy people that control the corporations and the world. The US government didn't send its semiconductor business and technology to China, US corporations did. And, more and more "American" corporations are following suit. I'm sure that a communist dictatorship is a more appealing form of government to these people than a pesky Democracy or Republic.

Greed fuels the exodus of these companie's to China, and they dont give a flying fook about the state of their own countries economies. Sadley i've got a family member who's made a fortune pedaling chineese motorcycle crap in the Uk. I always try and avoid anything thats made in China but it's getting nigh on impossible to do,while we keep buying made in China items our own home grown indutries will be in decline unless they too move to China, then day will come when we are totally fooked and have nothing left

I won't be surprised to see US Oil/Gas companies bought out by Russia in the next few years.

Dont worry they have almost priced themselves out of business now, the world is turning and their domestic demand is not going to save them, just this year in one province 16,000 factories have been forced to close due to lack of business, I am making some product in Eastern Europe now and just this month in the UK again, cheaper, better quality and no waiting for the boat to arrive,
Have a look at clothing to, you will see a new country on the `made in` label is taking over from China

Its the giant "sucking sound" that H Ross Perot warned about, but its not coming from Mexico or Canada (well, yes, it is) but the biggest suck job (or job suck?) is coming from China.
