Well there is a bike that has caught my eye and am test riding it on the weekend... first of all i must state THIS IS NOT TO REPLACE THE SUPER DUKE, ONLY TO SIT ALONGSIDE IT.

normally im not a fan of jap bikes but the one that i have always liked is the Yamaha Mt-01 and they are now quite cheap over here.

Has anyone ever had any experiences with these bikes? Any thoughts?

And dont worry, it would recieve some cosmetic changes to look like this

Never rode one, but have week one with the full stage 3 kit, they produce a huge amount of torque!

Had a go on one, fooking heavy, slow revving and a clunky gear change is all that stood out, my mates M109R is a much more impressive beast to ride

well... took it for a test ride. it turned out that it had a stage two tune.

loved it. .. slow revving yes but slow definitely not.

the suspension has been sorted out for a guy 5kg heavier than me so the handling was spot on... not as quick a steer as the sd but not slow. .. held a line beautifully. it can definitely corner... give me a bit of time and knee down wouldn't be a problem

I quite enjoy the torque sports thing. .. hopefully it will be mine shortly

I was thinking of buying a MTO1 a couple of years ago but I ended up with the SD instead.
I had a ride on one of these yesterday with a big 50HP it was a lot of fun.
After the ride got back on the SD and it felt like it had 200HP LOL!!
Would I by one mmm Yes! But I would have to get rid of the number 7

gotta admit that is one pretty bike. but why ditch the 7?

oh and I have an fz1 headlight, it already has akra pipes as well as the standard ones so I should able to sell them and get roughly enough to get the custom underslung pipe done.

only thing that will cost me money is the belly plan and wheels

MRZ the MTO1 will look great once you have it done.
How long do you think it will take you to get it all sorted?
Why ditch the 7 well it looks like a race bike with the numbers but with only 50HP it just seems to me
a little to over the top but aparently you can just take the rear seat cover off and the seat is the same shape
without the numbers.

Mrz, congrats on the new bike!
About the guzzi: great looking machine! Shame they fitted the first model with a plastic tank, the chrome would crack making it look horrible. The 2nd gen bike got a proper chromed tank.

The Guzzi looks better in the flesh.
I think put a bikini fairing on the front take off the rear seat cowl and it would look great.
The other thing is that I thought it looked crap until I had a ride But the thing I liked is that
its one of those bike that you don't have to do MK10 everywhere to have fun.

well, stay tuned.. you should see a nice little development with the velocity stacks very shortly. They will not be that cheap to make due to them being redesigned to flow flawlessly and be bomb proof all at the same time. Pics should show up within the week.

As for this topic, as the saying goes... a picture is worth a thousand words.

definately not a superduke but I absolutely love it. Always wanted a harley but never wanted the handling issues of lack of lean angle... this i can get knee down on while sounding like a harley... and the torque!!! its just a whole different ball game

oh and i thought the superduke sounded like thunder but this bike sounds like the world is going to end
